any memories, pictures, etc. you would like on the site to help us remember Doug Herren.
Douglas Eugene Herren was born June 26, 1958 in San Francisco California to Sylvester (nmi) Herren and Dale Charlene (Parker)
Herren. He died February 14. 2006 as a result of Melanoma that metastasized in his brain. He is survived by his first wife Jackie Gardner
and his children Megan Yvonne and Christopher Dale, his 2nd wife Sherri Ann (Wilson) and her children Amber Lynn (Saunders) Clark,
Ryan Michael Saunders and Melissa Colleen Hayes and his sister Deborah Berry and her husband Gerrel Berry. Doug loved his family
more than any thing in the world. He lived his life like there was no tomorrow. His motto was “No Regrets!” Doug loved to hike, fish,
camp and spend time with the people he loved. He cared deeply about others and was always offering a helping hand. He was genuine
and “comfortable in his own skin”. Most people couldn’t resist being attracted to his honesty and passion. Doug was open and friendly
to strangers which made almost everyone he met like him. He will be missed more than words can say. God Bless you Doug. You will be
with us in our hearts always. Love, Sherri

It was a privelege to know
Doug and Sherri through my
daughter Beth! I remember
him as a "gentle giant", a
larger than life person who
instantly became your friend!
You had the feeling that Doug
would do anything for you, and
was always ready for a new
and exciting adventure! Doug
gave all of us a great attitude
and philosophy to live by...and I
for one feel blessed to have
known him! Auf Wiedersehen!

If there was anyone in life that made me
laugh it was Doug. His sense of humor and
smile was contagious and you would never
want him to stop talking with that voice of
his. I miss you my little "Sam Elliott". With
love and fondness, Kathy

Doug was an amazing
man and had ways to
bring out the best in
everyone. He made a
wonderful dad and I am
going to miss him so
much. I know that he will
live on in the hearts of all
that loved him.

Grew up with cousin Douglass, four years
my junior, in a Kansas farming community.
Thought of him like a second brother.
Through the years, we drifted apart. Always
thought I'd get to visit him and his family in
Colorado or travel some part of central
America with him. That wasn't in the plan.
Still difficult to believe we won't see him on
this earthly plane again. One thing's for
sure: he's in our heart and he lives on. Love
ya, Doug and I'll take care of your sister
Debbie if she'll let me.

I only had the privilege to know Doug for
about two years; what an impact he was
able to make in such a short time. I was
fortunate to see and meet with Doug every
morning. We would talk business and then
inevitably we would venture off into our
personal lives and plans for outside of
work. He was able to touch my heart and
cause me to look at life and work in a
different light. When asked if I was able to
say what I needed to before he left us; I am
fortunate enough to be able to reply yes. I
will miss meeting with Doug everyday,
working with him and most of all the
friendship we had. He was, and is in our
heart, a great man.

Doug was my nephew.he and my youngest
son were the same age and were together
a lot the few yrs. they lived in kansas then
when they moved to colorado,my son would
stay with them every summer for a while
and give his parents trouble, but we loved
them both, and Doug grew up to be a very
loving caring person. he will be missed by
all of us who knew him.

Doug was the best brother that a sister
could ask for.He had a way of telling me
that I was looking at things in the wrong
way. I will miss him so very much.

"Only the good die young". Doug was a good person
that we all could learn from. If we were all to stop and
think what would Doug have done and live our life
that way I believe the world would be a better place.
Doug was a real friend and a real person, one that
you could always count on. Even though our time
together was way to short, we feel very blessed to
have had the time we did. We will miss him greatly
for the rest of our time. Love, The Millers

Doug made our daughter, Sherri, very
happy and that was the reason we loved
him so much. We will miss him and his
quiet, soft spoken ways. He was on this
earth much too short a time.
